Sandcastle Preschool offers an inclusive program via several classes for children from 30 months (reaching 36 months before December 31st) to five years of age. Sandcastle believes in the educational value of play, promoting the interaction and participation of all children through a rich variety of materials and activities. To register, and for additional information, contact MACL (ext 238).

Family and Child/Youth Support Services support children/youth with developmental disabilities, and their families. Services provided are generally 1:1, including support for behavioural challenges, life skills and social development. We promote and facilitate inclusive social and recreational opportunities.

Family Support Service offers information and support to develop strategies for enhancing opportunities for inclusion and valued participation within the community, e.g. personal goal planning, transition planning, systems support.

Santa Rosa Place is a 13 unit, second stage transitional housing project of the Women?s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley. The apartment building is located in Mission, BC and houses women and their children from both Mission and Abbotsford. Residents of the Abbotsford and Mission Transition Houses are given priority placement at the Santa Rosa. Referrals are also taken from other social service agencies and groups. Many women self-refer.

Free 6-week self-management workshops offered throughout BC for people with chronic disease, chronic pain, diabetes, arthritis & fibromyalgia, Matter of Balance and Active Choices. Self-management strategies are taught and participants are supported by the group. On-line program also available. We recruit and train people to become peer leaders.

One-stop information and referral service for seniors or anyone interested in the well-being of seniors. The Centre operates on the premise that seniors need information in order to maintain their independence and live life to the fullest. Information is provided on matters of health, pensions, income tax, housing, transportation, social activities, etc. Referrals are given for trades people, seniors? housing, legal services, podiatrists and more. Field trips are planned monthly. Volunteers are available to the public Monday?Friday, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

Screened volunteers will transport and assist seniors with their shopping needs in Mission. There is a $5 per hour charge plus an extra $5-$15 if you live in the outlying area of the district.
