Mission Emergency Social Services (ESS) is a community-based provincial emergency response program. ESS volunteers provide services required to preserve the well-being of people affected by an emergency or disaster - ranging from a single family house fire to a disaster involving mass evacuations. ESS Services may include food, clothing, lodging, information, reuniting families, emotional support, pet care and other specialized services as required. Our goal is to help people who have been displaced from their homes to re-establish themselves as quickly as possible after a disaster.

We are a non-profit registered charity which exists to address the personal and social consequences of Parkinson's disease through education, community outreach, scientific research, advocacy and public awareness. This self-help group, run by and for people who share the challenges of living with Parkinson's disease, offers support services for people living with Parkinson's, their families or their caregivers. At our meetings you are welcomed by a group of people who believe that maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of humour is the best approach, offering a place to talk, laugh and yes, even to occasionally cry about life with Parkinson's. We also bring in guest speakers to speak on various topics of interest to our members. We have a large collection of articles, newsletters, books, DVD's, community resources and other information about Parkinson's disease.
